A stage that served many purposes - this being one weird one:)
To me, beyond everything else, The Moz was the place that somehow affected ALL my creative endeavours for the last decade:
The Hauntingly Beautiful Mousemoon lived, recorded, rehearsed and ended there…
Mojo Juju & the Snake Oil Merchants was born, lived and grew and made two albums there…
The wicked parties with the original crew became all my inspiration for Ergo B Bag & his All Action All Stars - not to forget the time and energy spent by MANY to create the show it was…costumes made and all rehearsals held at The Moz…
In my lower moments I fought and loved so much with my friends there I wrote another album, The Dukes of Erlington, recorded in the fantastic studio ran there by D.a. Calf…
With the awesome help of everyone I got to create a soccer championship, named it The Wickham World Cup and since 2006 there has been 16 of them…
With Zackari & Clinton I got to laugh SO hard working out, creating and performing with The Klaff Bros in front of friends…
With sooo many others I got to be part of The Lovelorn Living Party and its magical and/or manic moments…
And with The Main Guy & the Other Guys I got to rehearse there, record the start of our upcoming EP and film our music video there…
It is hard for me to accept this place is no more. It is hard to know it can not be replaced. And because (thankfully!!) it is only The Moz that perished in last nights fire…i am left feeling like an old friend I just took for granted suddenly passed away…
Fortunately today has shown me MANY feel a similar way and that makes me just love all these memories so much more.

You have come here, purely through a sense of empathy with the people who’ve lost everything. Thank you, it’s appreciated more than we can express. Whether you’re here to be part of our community or to donate to the amazing people who lost everything in the blaze, we thank you.
We want to help share the amazing experience of the Moz with you. Because that’s exactly what it was, a BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING experience. It wasn’t just a building to the people who shared that space. The Morrow breathed, it had life. It encouraged creativity, love flourished in that place. The Morrow was a magnet for artistic, musical & imaginative people all around Newcastle.
We will be sharing with you the personal experiences of the people who used that space and what it meant to them. I hope it touches you, brings a giggle to your belly or a tear to your eye. I know they did mine.

I was always so sad in high school and then I met a beautiful creative girl and she took me to the Morrow park for an LLP meeting and I loved it so much I went every week…

The Morrow Park Memories of Amazement Page:The Morrow has had a long history in the hearts of Newcastle's radical communities. It has seen punk gigs, the all ages era, all night dance parties, the wonders of Lovelorn ,a man beauty contest, Dozzas for the Mozza, it has seen the creation of some of Newcastle's finest bands and many many more divine and outrageous events and happenings. It will be intensely missed by those who lived, partied, loved and created there.
It was a home for many and now this page will be a home for it's memories.
Please post photos, stories, memories and thoughts. Ask questions, stir the pot, use your words to play. Lets keep The Moz alive forever.

Last night this happened. The shared residency of my friends...
Last night this happened. The shared residency of my friends caught alight at 4am and burnt to the ground. They all escaped with their lives and the clothes on their backs but nothing else. This blog is to facilitate a place where these beautiful creative people can raise some money. There is a donate button and whatever you can spare to help them find new homes, clothes etc will be so very appreciated.
